What would you like to know about labor camps. I have used the plano one a few times as I live in Richardson.

The one in Plano is located behind best buy on central just before the parker road. So if you are going north on 75 you would exit parker road and behind best buy is the camp.

You get what you are willing to pay. If you want to pay them 6 or 7 an hour and not buy them lunch you wont see them again.

Pay 8 or more and buy there lunch they may want to work with you again.

I know of some companies that I talk to that pay there guys about 12 an hour + lunch. That is awesome. He has a good crew and has to pay for it.

Ok so how does it work. You pull up and talk to the guys waiting or is there somebody in charge of the camp. Now by "camp" is this just where ___ legal or illegal ____ people come for work. So paying them 10 per hour and lunch would get you a good worker for that day, but how about finding the same guy the next day. Do they speak english or what..... any more details on how this works.

now for the IRS how do you claim this. Is it just the cost of business and you do not claim the per hour charge. Fill out your profit minus what you payed the works and pay tax on that.

The first time I ever went to the labor camp I spoke with the lady in charge there. I went in the morning and there were over 250 ppl waiting inside the fenced area for work. I told her what I was looking for. Someone who could do lawn care and new a little english. She went in the crowd and picked out someone for me.

He worked great but he didn't like what he was getting payed. He stayed with me for 2 weeks and then told me that his cousin would like to work with me. I am now useing his cousin and I no longer see the camp. I just pick my guy up at his house at 6:00 and he is up and ready to go.

I have no idea what to do about the irs. I have never talked to a cpa about it. That is something me and you both need to find out. As far as if the guys are legal or not to work in America who is going to know is what I say.

would it every get to a point that you trust them to run without you leaving time for you to get more business, and eventually another team??? I guess everything would have to be provided for them... mowers, trailer, blowers, truck. What is to stop them from just taking the full trailer and now your screwed...??

I think you are asking if I would ever let a guy run my crew and work alone without me ?
