Who has Stobes / Light Bars on there truck???

I was wondering how many of you guys have light bars and stuff on your trucks? I got a strobe kit for my truck tail lights and headlights from a buddy of mine but I'm not sure of the laws regarding them. They are really bright even during the day and I'm sure they will add safety when parked but does anyone no the laws regarding them? Thanks

Laws vary by state or even local to the county

It's generally that you can only run amber
Some get away with Amber/clear.
Red rear facing
Never run. Red. Blue. Purple or a combo of those colors

You have hide-aways.
Install them in the reverse or turns NOT the brake/running.

Laws only apply to public property. You can do what ever floats your boat on private property.
It's a rule of thumb to not use them in transit.

Check your local/state to see what you can do!

Looks like you can run amber and white in the rear and amber in the front. I'm thinking about putting the reads in the back up light part and the front in the turn signal part. Thoughts?

I'm not sure what "reads" are so I can't speak to that. As far as mounting in the front. Remember if your going to plow. The plow may obstruct the lights and may present a flash back issue. I've yet to see any one out Hide-away in plow lights. But yes overall those are good locations.
Will you be adding any other warning lights? If you get the right hardware you can sync them. I'm 99% sure you can strobe any LED with a proper controller.
If I were you I'd invest in a second set of light assembly's for your truck. So you have a back up set for resale of the truck etc

Haha I ment to type rears... I don't plow so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm thinking about getting a small light bar to put on the top of the cab and maybe some lights of some sort for rear of trailer also

I have a $5 amber rotator I toss on in work zones on the highway when I'm working my other job. I have never found a need for anything while landscaping unless you're plowing or hauling an oversized load.
