Same as sole prop

Just dba company name

Doesn't matter at tax time if you're solo. There's plenty of threads on this

If you want a good answer find fivetringpicker. He lurks in the political section and was a tax professor.

DBA all you do is file for an assumed name. DBA could be good for sole prop, partnership, llc, etc.

A DBA is just that…Doing Business As.

It is just a name you/your business entity registers to use…

Brian registers the DBA "Brian's Lawncare" with the state…or Brian, LLC registers the DBA "Brian's Landscaping & Snow Removal" with the state. This gives you and only you the ability to use that name for the purposes of marketing your company…no one else has the legal right to use that business name in the jurisdiction where you registered your DBA.
