I took it all apart, yes. And cleaned it. I didn't touch the fuel pump.

I think gaskets still. Like u mentioned.

Did u gap the coil proper?

If it isn't properly gapped it could make it run like crap.
Also if you removed the carburetor...

Let me put it this way, I have learned to order up a brand new gasket anytime I plan on removing a carburetor.
You know, especially on those where I can't recall the last time it was removed.
Fact is if that carburetor's been on there some years and you removed it, I can almost guarantee it needs a new gasket.

yeah, my parts guy wasnt opened at 10:00pm

i think i might run down and grab the gaskets.
