He shop's at home depot and lowes. I told him to by vigro (weed and feed) at home depot. Any help without killing good grass. Thanks

.

St Augustine Weed & Feed won't hurt Bermuda or Bahia.

What Ric said! I'd be a little leery of utilizing POE selective herbicides when it's too hot outside... especially at typical "homeowner" applied rates. LOL.

If it were an atrazine product wouldn't it hurt the bermuda? Maybe not kill it completely but have a definite negative effect on it if were not dormant?

Over the last 20 years I have seen tons of Atrazine Weed & Feed applied to Both Bahia and Bermuda Lawns. Just go to Home Depot any Saturday and watch home owner load up on Atrazine W & F. We only wish Atrazine could control Bermuda in St Augustine. Grant you it will stunt Bermuda, But It is next to impossible to kill Bermuda in St Augustine with Atrazine. However with the Right Combination of chemicals, I control Bermuda in St Augustine all the time.

I will agree with budsNbows that it might be Too Hot right now for Atrazine. However IMHO it will kill St Augustine before Bermuda or Bahia.
