Nitrogen Burn

Simply:

Directions were not followed. Way too much was spread (3x-4x necessary) and have large brown spots all over lawn. Approximately 50% of lawn is brown.

It appears there is no other remedy but to reseed/resod. Looking at approximately 1,000 square feet. Thoughts/Comments/Suggestions?
