Scheduling software? Which is best?

I have seen quite a few threads on what scheduling software is the best but I am still a little confused about which one will work for me. Currently I use Quickbooks for all my accounting and I love it. However, I am growing to a point that its getting a little difficult to remember which yards I should be doing on a given week. I have 1 team member and we are doing about 40-50 yards a week but I expect to grow quite a bit over the summer and don't know which Software would be the best.

Anyone who has experience with the scheduling software/programs that are out there and was in my situation at one point in time please give some wisdom.

I have been using lawnpro for about a month. There are still a few things that I do not like about it but it seems to do okay. You can add customers and set them up on different time schedules like once a week, every 2 weeks, once a month or several different ways. If you are mainly doing mowing I would give it a look.

You have quite a few options if you are looking for scheduling software. I do not know of too many that sync with QuickBooks and do it really well.

It depends a lot on what version on QuickBooks you are using. Intuit is not support the desktop sync manager as much anymore, and wanting people to move to QuickBooks Online.

So what version and year of Quickbooks you have will make a big difference on your decision if you do want to sync it with your scheduling software.

It also depends on what functionality you want and how your current scheduling workflow is.

I'm not as much worried about syncing with QB as I am just getting the scheduling side of things taken care of. I want to be able to easy change things if I need to but also have a program that can make a good schedule with the right inputs.

Then you might want to demo/trial the ones that look interesting. If you are interested in Jobber you can just search the forums here and see what others are saying and how they are using us.

2 people, 40-50 lawns a week would be no problem. You could easily start a trial and get that setup pretty quickly so you can see how it works.

Hopefully some other people can jump in and offer you some advice as well.

I use a spreadsheet.

I am thinking of transferring it to Google, so I can synch the contacts with my smartphone and later the GPS.
I do 63 lawns by myself, this is my 13th year.

I use QB online as well. I'm also in the market for a scheduling software. So, it sounds like Jobber will sync with QB. I currently keep track of the in a notebook as well. But that's always a backup plus it's the old way of doing things. I want to get away from that.

I am so glad you said you use QB Online! The sync with online has the least amount of troubles, and it gets the most support from Intuit. We just did even more updates to our online sync this morning.

So I would recommend you start a trial, do a sync and then you will be all setup and can start trying out the scheduling. 30 days to try it out and use it totally unlimited. You can get in contact with us any way you want and we will help get you setup.

What's the monthly service charge after the trial period is up?

Our base plan is 39$ a month and that includes 2 login users. You can have as many non login users for scheduling and creating day sheets as you need.

Additional login users are 9$ per month each and the QuickBooks Sync add- on is 9$ per month.

You can look around but our pricing for the base plan, additional login users and quickbooks sync are all cheaper for the value you get.
