Accounts

I live in Michigan and if you do not know we had more snow this winter than in my entire life, I am 19. I say that so people not from hear understand the conditions here. I would like to get to 20 account this year and am currently at 13. Is it too late to get the extra 7 accounts? If no, how do I get them?

Thanks

When people sell homes, move to new homes, die, break their ankles, have children, or just get sick of mowing their own lawn, they don't all do it in early spring.

Calls come all season long because there are always people looking for a lawn service.

Mowing hasn't even started here in MI. You still have plenty of time.
Throw up a craigslist ad

^^Props to another Michigander! Yeah we still have two weeks before we start cutting. You have plenty of time. Honestly the best time to pickup customers is the first month of actual cutting. People will just start realizing they need it and start asking you if they see you or calling. Letter your truck, get some t shirts, and cards and you should be set! You will pickup 7 in the first month for sure, probably double that.

Good lookin out! I see you post all the time and I never even realized you were from here!
But yeah Locqus is right. Wait until you start cutting. After your first week you'll see many more prospective clients. People realize they really don't want to do their lawn and they look for people who can still accept them in their schedule.

^^Ha, ah thank you! SE Michigan! Locqus is in Detroit, Shamrock is in Dearborn Heights. I do not know why they realize it like 2 weeks in that they don't want to do it anymore. It's like they want to do it all year, and first cut is all fun, the 2nd cut is less fun and they realize there are 30 more weeks of it lol.

Oh okay! I'm in Livonia so not too far, I've seen one of your trucks before.
It's just how it goes. Last year was my first year. 1st week of April I had 9 customers. Last week of May I had 25 signed. Just give it time.
