Taylor Junipers

Is anyone familiar or have planted Taylor Junipers? Looking to get (18) for privacy (6-7 ft). I like the the columner look 20-30 ft tall with only 2 - 3 ft wide.

Don't seem to common on Long Island, but any feedback would be apprciated.

They were discovered by chance near Taylor, Nebraska and will grow in almost any soil. They have become very popular in this part of the world (great plains) because of their drought tolerance. Availability is slim because of this new found popularity, the extension services started pimping these out here when we had a couple of years of drought.

I know that Hillside Nursery in Wichita has them. They are a retail outfit, not sure how helpful they would be in helping you source some. http://www.hillsidenurseryinc.com/

Kip at the Double Bar tree farm is very friendly and helpful, he may be able to help you. http://www.doublebarpinenursery.com/
