Gravely 36" Pro Walk - Deck Belt -

Does anyone happen to know a cost for these off the top of their head? One broke on me today. I need something to get by through tomorrow, unless (hopefully) the dealer has one in stock, or should I say two, because I'm keeping a back-up from now on. Also, I know deck belts are a wear item, but it's no excuse for one to snap at 30 hours. Shouldn't the dealer get me one under warranty?

30 hours is really low for a deck belt to go, never seen belts covered under warranty.

I would make them look over everything when you go for new belt to make sure nothing is warped or has a knick in it.

Did the belt snap or shred?

Have you been cutting in the rain or really wet grass lately? I know when I had my 32" ferris the belt broke at around 26hrs but I was cutting in the rain and really wet grass a lot.

I cut wet conditions all the time but WB's are different than ZTRs but belts last as they should.

It snapped right in half, the ends where it snapped look kind of shredded rather then a "clean" snap. As for wetness, I've been using the machine when it's wet and dry. It's been pretty wet all week, just not too "soaked" too mow. We had some light showers through the week, enough for the ground to be "wet."

They never covered mine under warranty, but check with your dealer.

Well I needed the mower running today and called every dealer within 100 miles and no-one has in stock. Parts Tree doesn't even have the belt. They are saying at least 4-5 days. Found one dealer 107 miles away that has it in stock. How crazy is that.

Update: After an hour of calling, none of the (3) big dealers, or (4) small dealers had one. Just called a mom and pop store 45 minutes away and they have the belt.
