I am in need of one and my lesco dealer has one that they have had for awhile and will let me have for about $1500, they just to get it out of they're way. The model # is LTL 160. Has a 16hp B&S Vanguard engine. I will need to add an extension of about 7ft vertically and then another one about 5ft horizontally This model is designed to be mounted on a tailgate). Do you think it will be able to throw the debris this far? I will just be using mainly for dry bermuda and zoysia grass (scalping) and for leaves. Any input will be appreciated. I think $1500 is a good deal, they retail for around $2150 I think. The reason for the extension that I will need to fabricate is because it will be mounted either on the front of my trailer or on the back of the truck I have pictured below. The discharge chute looks like it only comes up about 24" before make a 90 degree turn and then goes another 24" inches before discharging.

That seems like a pretty decent price for a leaf loader. I payed the same price for a 16hp Briggs vanguard hi-way leaf vac last fall, and it is powerful enough to load the leaves over the hood of my truck into the back (plow frame mounted). You can check with lesco to see if they sell extensions to make it taller to reach into the truck, you can buy extensions for most leaf vacs. If not you can always have one welded up. For the horizontal length to get the leaves into your truck, you can use stove pipe which you can buy in 5ft sections or you can use PVC sewer pipe. Good luck.

thats a hell of a deal! i got my billygoat 16 hp with two extension pieces for right around $3,000. I dont think it will have any trouble throwing the debris that far.

I have a Lesco loader that I bought last fall. 16 H.P. I bought an upright extension (18" I think) with it so when I get a truck like yours. Trust me, that bad boy blows leaves. I have a pick-up with a leaf box so to unload the truck I swing the chute around 180 degrees and suck the leaves out. It blows them about 30'. I paid 2500 dollars with the swing mount. Thanks for the replies. I am checking into a Hi-Way leaf vac that is a tow behind model. It uses a 23hp Kohler and has a CFM rating of 7500. New it's selling for $3150 (no tax, but can probably add at least $400 for shipping). It would sure be nice to have, but a little out of my price range. I know that both are a great price, but I think I am going to have to go with the Lesco.

I bought the same one that you are looking at from lesco. I bought it the day before thanksgiving last year.
It snowed on thanksgiving and I still haven't had a chance to use it.
I paid around $2,300 Including the swing away hitch mount.
The extention tube is 38" long and is in the parts guide that comes with it. ($132.00)

I think I am going to go ahead and buy this unit without the extensions for now. Once I mount it on my trailer I know it will sit lower than I want, but if the unit has as much power that everyone says it will, I could always take some stovepipe and just angle it up slightly so where as when debris is discharge it will hit the top, rear part of the truck bed.....does that make sense? I put off some of my scalping jobs until next week because it has been so windy here lately. If there is anyone that has scalped, or done leaf cleanups in the wind for that matter, knows what I am talking about.
