I think I'm going to do it!!!

As some of you know I have been looking to buy a 1 ton dump for a few months now. Well I think I'm finally going to do it. I've been shopping ALOT lately and this is the best deal I've seen. 2003 Chevy 1 ton, 8 ft dump (power up, power down), 6 liter V8, 4:10 rear end, dual tanks, A/C auto, 4X4 for $26000. I'm not crazy about the front of the new chevys but at this price I think I'll can with it. I did find a GMC at a similar price (little higher) but the dealer is an hour away. I'm going tomorrow to make the deal, they wanted me to buy today but I wanted to make them sweat a little.

I would try and talk you into a cabover, but at that price I would be thinking chevy too.

I looked at a Mitsu but I can't beat the price. Cab overs aren't real popular up hear so there isn't many of them to choose from. You know the old supply vs demand routine. There is one around my area and they won't budge on the price its something like $39,999.

I paid a thousand more for my 2001 and it doesn't have a/c or 4x4. Are you sure thats with the body price included? My sticker on the truck was $21,000 and 6k more for the dump body that was installed. You are just looking at the window sticker I bet. Can't see how you could get that truck that cheap?

Nope this is the price with the body. The sticker is around $29k plus another $5500+- for the body. GM is offering over $7000 in rebates and incentives right now plus low finance rates. My local dealer has 12 of them on the lot and is anxious to move through them. Thats why I feel like I can't pass it up.
