This is a controversial question. Maybe you should try starting a poll option. Its pretty simple and the software kind of walks you through it.

The reason I'm asking

I'm in the market for a new mower & I wanted some advice as to which route to take.

Sure bud. But the "best" mower for you depends on the type of accounts you have. What grass? Are your accounts on slopes? Do you need quality cuts, or are you looking for sheer speed? Will you be bagging, mulching, side-discharging, all or some? Do you need to change cutting hieghts often, and what range?

Obviously, there is no "best" mower, but it would be hard to even limit it to the 5 best.

These are five in the upper area that are considered very good:
Dixie Chopper, American Bladerunner, eXmark, Hustler, Bad Boy. Some of them are not large, well established companies or do not have a good dealer network yet but are said to be fine machines. Of these I'd check out Hustler and eXmark for various reasons I will not go into...

I was just mentioning 5 that seem to have either an outstanding reputation or an outstanding machine with features others dont' offer. Yes Ferris has the independant suspension, others have their things too. He asked for 5 so I thought those were 5 of the most awesome mowers out there either because their company has a good reputation or because their product has features others don't.

Volkilmer,

If you’ll be more specific about your needs, people can make some suggestions what might be a good fit for you based on their experiences. Just asking for the 5 best 60” mowers is only a popularity contest.

I dunno, are you a jogger, a fisherman, steelworker.........get the point.

You should thank Blusteel, I think hes trying to help you. And you could thank him by attempting to answer his questions.
