Attention Grasshopper owners

This was originally posted by my good buddy Bouncer but I decided to repost it with a different subject line for a better response. By Bouncer,

[QUOTE]I ran across a used Grasshopper for sale and to me it sounds like a really good deal. I'm not too familiar with the Grasshopper brand so i wanted to get some opinions from you guys before i make a decision. Here is the information i have on it........[/QUOTEI cant get the whole quote to work. This machine is a 2000 model, 720 front mount deck, 52" cut 20 horse Kohler, and the entire machine has 400 hours on it. The asking price is $3,500 Is this a good price? ( I think it is )
Thanks for any help!

That is a good little machine, but I would not buy it for a commercial mowing business. It has the older style, "Gemini" transmission system. That hydro. system is not as durable as the newer G2 system. It is also more expensive to replace.
That sounds like a very good price, but if it is going to be his everyday, commercial use mower, I would not buy it. If it is for homeowner use, then go for it.
