Using Job Site Signs

I've never used job site sighs and am buying some this year and plan to use them in high traffic areas and at sites I'm really proud of. What is the best way to approach the property owner about doing that? Do you have to give some incentive for them to "let" you do that? How long should I keep them there before I wear out my welcome? Seems like a great way to show off my work at a good price.

we only leave signs on jobsites that we do hardscapes or plantings at. Usually we put up a sign before we work and leave it up for about a 3 to 6 weeks after. We dont offer any incentives, are customers have all been more then happy to have the sign there.

I try to find a property that is in disrepair for a few years

wait for it to change hands or person to finally want something diffrent

If you can make an ugly duckling a swan people will take notice...

besides that i only use them for hardscaping, plantings and when i'm trying to break into a new neighborhood

I'm getting some made this year. I've been having some of my better customers telling me to put them up this year. I figure if they are offering I might as well.

In my town they're all over the place so it may be overkill...but I want to at least be keeping up with others. We have another company in town who is sticking cheepie signs on telephone poles, stop signs, and everything in sight. Look like crap and I think it makes us all look bad.

I find its like when someone gets a new car and have the dealers plate still on there, everyone who sees that nows they got a new car. Therefore when they have a sign in there yard people will notice the landscape more and customers love to show it off. My customers always let me put signs up with no problems.
