Biggest Mistakes Contractors Make

Has anyone read the recent issue of Pro magazine? There is an excellent article talking about the biggest mistakes that landscapers have made. I could relate to every one of them too!

One big mistake mentioned was being afraid to charge what you're worth. That is definitely true.

Another mistake was being afraid to ask for your money. I agree with that too.... I feel the longer you allow a client to hold onto your payment, the less likely you are too get paid.

I wont go on any further, but its a great article and everyone should check it out.

Pro is definitely the best industry rag out there. I also get TURF but find it a little short of useful info, its more of an advertising index.

Haven't read the PRO article yet, but along those lines, check out Michael Gerber's "The E-Myth". I read it this winter, he goes into detail about why most businesses fail, and how to avoid it. It was probably one of the most useful books I have read. Mike
