Anybody have any ideas on how to drill through a 2.5 foot thick boulder inorder to feed a water line up through it?

Not sure on what your doing exactly but we have drilled boulders in the past by renting a portable aircompressor/powerunit on a trailer will a rotary drill and a diamond bit. This seemed to work well
