looking at a lesco walkbehind with around 4 to 500 hours on it. it has a 48 in. deck, 17 hp kawasaki, 4 sets of baldes, a sulky and a collection system. he said he was asking 2500.00 for it but he would sell it for 2000.00. it needs a good wash but otherwise it looks pretty clean and well taken care of. does this price sound right. also would this be a good mower to start out with.

any help would ba appreciated thank's ahead of time.

anyway ricerocket i dont have any idea so i wont give you any guesses lol. You might wanna check witha local dealer and see how much they would estimate the value at

Sounds steep for that number of documented hours.
How do you know it's at least 400 but not more than 500 hours, may be nitpicking, but if the man 'knows' the number of hours, why can't he get a closer actual?

Is there service documentation to be seen?
Extra blades and sulky are great to have, but I wouldn't pay more for a mower cause it had them. I wouldn't care care how many bald employees came with it.
