Well I don't do a thing. Just hitch on and go. My Dixie has a hitch on it, but I a had a ferris pro cut Z and I had a hitch weleded on, and that is all. These dixie's pull 500 pound aerator just fine.

Aeration
I have been using my Honda 250 Recon ATV to pull a rented aerator! Much faster and easier to back up and turn.

I bought the optional hitch kit for my Toro Z. The cost was something like $35.00. Works everytime.
