My apologies, guys.... I read the HB5228 and the PA231. Yes, vehicles under the designated 26,001 weight no longer need to display DOT numbers. It was my belief that any commercial vehicle (a vehicle used for business, whether a pick up or larger truck) was required to display this.

Thank you, Outdoor Services for reposting the information.

Alot of this continued confusion could be avoided if these agencies and municipalities would adopt the same set of rules/regulations.

DOT numbers coming off the pick-up, but staying on the larger trucks.

Negative ghost rider.

Leaving them on may draw undo attention but doesn't open you to the requirements.

Stay out of MI's bizness.

Mine are staying on, for this reason. Although, we don't have the a-hole motor carrier\weighmasters on this side of the state.

April Showers in West Michigan.......

As of yet, it appears we will not have a drought this year, as they say we have all ready had the wettest April sense 1986 if not before then..
Areas of Grand Rapids are under a mandatory evac. 170+ have been forcibly vacated by boat, as roads and homes washed away.

Crap, Sept '86 was a really bad month. Really bad. Something like measurable rain on 21 out of 30 days or something like that. At first we just started waiting out the rain for mowing, we ended up just cutting in the rain because the grass was growing like crazy yet.

Some really bad floods after a big dump of rain too. I think there was upwards of 6" in Newaygo\Muskegon counties. From one storm. Overnight.
