I think a lot of guys went under last year is my thinking. For me I do mostly internet advertising and with that I leaves all the lawn boys in the dust. Also I think a lot more people have jobs and more men are working a lot of hrs so they are willing to pay for stuff they don't have time for.

So, let me ask you guys. I found a cloth bagger for a walk behind yesterday. Odds are i will never find the owner. How long should I hold onto it before I sell it?

You're right - a lot went under, mostly the guys that were lowballing and figured out that mowing lawns for free is too much work, lol. I don't advertise at all - strictly word of mouth and I'm not taking on anymore work this year - I have more than I can handle from my regulars. And forget about finding good help - no one wants to do physical labor these days.

Glad I'm not the only one. Sort of.

50*-80* in a day or two really screwed everything up. The 2 weeks of rain prior to that didn't help, either.

Jc lawn and more, normally I would agree with you but this is how someone makes money. I just feel bad for the person who lost it.

6 calls before 2pm for new customers. This is something else, and I'm only a one truck crew. Also this is the first time in 4 years of advertising with yellowbook that more than one or 2 people are finding me through it.
