Sony clie' palmos 4.1

Well this seems like everyone has a palm question all at once. My question to those of you that have one, what are the main things that you use it for?I want to use it to keep track of my daily logs. If you can tell me some other biz. uses i'd appreciate it. Thanks Tony

I've got a cheap one, a Palm 130. I find it indispenceable for making reminder notes. I used to write reminders on the back of my business cards. Before I got the Palm the dashboard of my truck had business cards stuck everywhere. I also us an application called "mapopolis". It's a free map program that you can download county maps for. The downloads cost aprox $10 each or $35 for unlimited downloads for a year for the entire US. These are up to date maps with door to door directions. I find it great for finding new clients who've called for estimates. I also use an ap called "autobase". It's a great program for keeping track of your maintenance, repairs and fuel usage. It has a one touch button for figuring your gas mileage. Did I mention it's a free program? find it here: http://home.earthlink.net/~herbo/palmos_sw.html

Plus, you've got to have "pac-man", bejeweled and tetris to play with while waiting out a sudden thunderstorm.

This program makes the use of your palm unlimited, create forms and databases as you see fit.

The system we are working on now will allow you to have your schedule on your palm. You will be able to tap in the times you arrive and leave the job site which will allow for accurate job costing.

These devices are getting more powerful everday and the sky is the limit for what they will ultimately be able to do.

Gopher that is what I want to do with my palm. I keep track of all my time when I arrive and when I leave, and what jobs were performed at each job. The price for each job if there was and extra job performed that day,etc.,etc. Problem is I'm doing this on a tablet then I have to go home and put in on the computer, and then put everything over to invoices. My goal is to get everything a simple as I can get it. Put it on my palm and then load it to my pc at night and it can load it for me. Keep us posted.
