I just put down 2000 pounds of fall fert yesterday. The "fall" fert that I put down is not related to this years growth but for spring green up.

The plant continues to uptake nutrients for 3-4 weeks after growth stops. I make all late fall applications at this time. Helps with a nicer green-up in the spring and no flush of growth in late fall.
