How to accept Credit Card Payments?
I will be accepting credit cards starting next year.
Is there any advantage to accepting lump sum prepays as opposed to quarterly or another type of recurring payment? I understand the CC companies are sometimes leary of lump sum payments for future services. Has this been your experience? I have read all of the archived threads on this topic, and most deal with the cost of the service. Are there any suggestions or ideas that I may have overlooked when it comes to actually accepting credit card payments? Do you keep your customers CC info on file, and how do you track that info to be alert for expired cards, etc. Any and all advice very much appreciated, Thank You Gary |

I use quickbooks and it processes the credit cards right from there. It also keeps track of the information so I don't have to enter it every time

Yes, you get payment. "A dollar today is worth more to you than a dollar tomorrow." Here are a few credit card posts. How to go about accepting visa? Do you accept credit cards? Now Accepting Credit Cards!! Does anyone accept credit cards? |

A new way of accepting credit cards is with the new 'power swipe' Nextel phones. Its a cell phone with a 'swipe' reader built in to it. Haven't researched the details yet, but might make sense for service businesses.
