hey GLS haven't seen you here in a long! On your blue truck do you have a back rack that holds your light? Ill be getting an ez- dumper dump insert and wondering if i can have a back rack on and and also have the ez dumper in the bed. can you get some pics of how you did yours? How do you like your dump trailer? how much $$ did you spend for, what are the pros and cons of having both?

Not sure how much dirt it "can" hold. Volume wise, I think like 6 yards w/out sides. I have no idea how much weight that is though. It all depends on the type of dirt. cash_money We've been really busy...havn't had much time to come here... The trailer isn't ours, it was a rental. We used it for a hardscape job that required a lot of dirt to be moved out, no place to dump on site. The warning light on the blue truck is actually just mounted to the roof (suction/magnet mount). It does have a cabguard/headache rack that it could be attatched to though. Would have to run a wire into the bed and through the rail of the dump.

The wheels are the stock polished aluminum wheels on the new body style trucks. You can usually get them pretty cheap, look on ebay. I think they usually go for about $400/set.
The tires are goodyear mt/r's. The size in the more recent picture is a 285/75/r16, the old pics near the beginning of the thread are 265/75/r16 (the 285s were on the black truck, but it got bigger wheels and tires and we switched them over to the blue truck). The mt/r's are a good looking tire, and probably a good mud tire, but I don't think we'll be buying them anymore. They just don't last long enough.

How many miles did you buy the Duramax with? How many miles do you have on it now?
How much did you pay? Any problems? Thanks |

Bought it with around 50k miles (I think). It currently is at 100k (almost).
Paid $30k Problems: injectors replaced at 75k miles. Covered under the 200k mile warranty. Other than that, problem free.
