Doubling blades?
On my Toro Z-253 23 HP Kohler with a 62" deck would you recommend doubling the blades? I can fab a spacer/adapter to get around the lip in th e bottom of the spindle, no trouble, but what are the pros and cons of having 2 blades on each spindle?

I ran doubles for the whole season last year and found it greatly reduced the size of the grass blades that were discharged, and maximized the spread of the blow out. For leaves...they are disintegrated to basically dust...

The benefits of running doubles is the additional mulching action that you get. The down side of it is the risk that you run by altering the origional design. The extra mass will not stop as quickly causing a hazard. It is also a lot harder on your spindle bearings. In addition I am sure that it requires a lot more horsepower from your machine.
