2005 F250 & 2005 Chevy 2500HD

I am in the process of purchasing a new truck. I have heard that Ford is going to have a new F250 for 2005. Has anyone heard this, and if yes, any idea when it would be available?

Same for Chevy. Any idea if a new 2500 HD is in the works for 2005?

I want to purchase a new truck now, but I don't want to purchase a 2004 then a new updated 2005 is released soon.

Any ideas, thanks.

Usually the new ones come out some time around Aug.

Why is it a must to have the 2005? Every year they make new trucks. Save your self 10-12K, and get a 2003 now.

I'm a Ford guy, that's always driven a Chevy, that thinks the Dodge Cummins is the way to go.

I just got a new 2004 chevy 2500..the dealer said they don't change the body styles of the trucks but once every 5 to 7 years.chevy just changed to the new style in 2003, so i would GUESS not another change till 2008 earliest..

I've heard that the new F-250 will have only minor changes in '05. Mainly to be able to fit the new 5.4L engine. I guess it is a lot different than the old engine. If you want a ford, wait till '06. My dealer rep. said the '06 superduty will blow the current models away. This is just what I've been hearing lately so don't hold me to it. I'd just hate to see you buy an '04 or '05 and it drop way down in value as soon as a new version comes out.

I've heard the same, only minor interior changes on the 2005 Ford. I would go ahead and buy a 2004 Ford right now while intrest rates are low. You can't go wrong with the Ford.

Buy a Chev 2500 HD. I just bought a 2004. With rebates and low interest rates, I would buy one now. 6 months to a year from now, interest rates will be going back up and with the economy getting better, the rebates will go away, especially for new 2005's.

I thoroughly checked out trucks and decided on the Chev for numerous reasons. I sold New Chev's for 3 years and I know trucks very well.

I'd get the GM 2500HD. Chevy just updated their trucks and should keep them for awhile, plus what rambo said. I also have a 03' GMC 2500HD and will never and have never hesitated to buy one and love it!

Chev or GMC, they are the same, except for a couple of minor items, front grill, badging, etc. When I sold Chev's, we had a new truck come in and on one side it had Silverado badging and on the other side it had GMC badging. That goes to show you that they are built in the same factory!! That was about 8 years ago.

Like Myoder said, GM has new body style for 2004, not much change from 2003, but it will be 5 more years before they change again.

Didn't Ford just change their body style?

Stop hemin & hawin and buy a GM!!!!!!!!!

I was out looking today, saw a nice Ford 250 4wd, but i tested a 04 Dodge Ram quad-cab 4x4 with the 5.7 Hemi and it was awesome, also had 20" tires, but listed at 39,990 The Ford was 33,000. I still can't get that Dodge out of my head, Im thinking about buying in March.......Marks Mowing Service
