Paying for flyer distribution ???'s

I was wondering if some of you could give me examples of what to pay PER flyer, for those of you who pay that way. I'm used to paying by the hour, but figure per flyer would be the best. I have someone who wants to pass them out for me next month, and wants to have friends help. They can't split an hourly wage, so this way I think would work better. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

~Nest

Well look at it this way, if you send'em over the mail it would be 37c I think 10-15c per flyer would be good.
Just make sure they don't put'em in the mail boxes, follow the rules.

I'd know by using the same method I've used over the past few years. They must keep track of all hours, breaks, and locations. They keep lists of each street they completed, when a neighborhood is completed, and at what time. They know I check random streets often, and physically see them for myself. Only had one guy rip me off so far, he took about 3000 flyers and tossed them into a ditch. Got a call from the lady whose yard they were in. lol

I always wondered that? unless it was family, and then came up with a solution. When were passing flyers for installs we have a group of kids and have them put there name on the back of the flyer. the cutomers get a dicount if they present the flyer so we just see who gave it to them and that kid gets $100 we also pay 10 cent per flyer, the $100 seems to make sure they get passed out and not trashed

You might want to try Cub Scouts, BoyScouts, Little League or groups like this. Offer a fixed donation to the group for so many flyers delivered. You will get adult supervision and probably a better chance at getting them all delivered. Anything more than 10 cents per is too much!

There are a couple of businesses in my area that deliver flyers. They'll put yours in with the pizza parlor and real estate agent, etc. They charge 3 cents per flyer. Costs me 2 cents apiece to print, so total outlay is 5 cents per flyer.

I thought of doing this also. I was willing to give equivilant to one weeks mowing for each account that accepted. One one time jobs it would have been a percentage. No other income was involved. I thought this was great because money was tight at the time and knew if I had no calls, then I was out nothing but the materials. He chickened out, so I just paid an hourly wage.

AztlanLC, I paid an hourly wage of $9 and hours and it came out to be about .14 cents each....if I remember correctly.

Hi Elephant Nest,

Here are two posts that deal with this. Something to consider also is maybe do this in door hangers. That way they might be more inclined to distribute the door hanger properly on a door vs. placing the flyers in mailboxes.

"I hire out to put my fliers on doors. Pay $40 per 1000."

"The kids liked it since they got paid $7.50 an hour"
