Do you have the picture stored on your computer?
If you do, they need to be in jpg format.
They also need to be a certain size.
I believe 450 X 450 will work well.

When making a post, scroll down to where it says "attach file"
click the browse button, find them on your computer, double click on the picture you want, and it will attach.

One thing though when doing this.....
Do not hit the preview button because then your pic will not attach. Just go for it and directly hit the submit button.

What part of these steps are you having a problem with?
Ask as many questions as you like, I'll try to help you out best I can.

WHAT’S *.GIF & *.JPG?

Most web space providers prefer you have your pictures in these formats – they’re just to different types of picture files. So if your having problems with uploading a picture this is most likely the problem. It’s easy to change the format of a picture file, you can either right click and rename to yadda.gif or yadda.jpg (or you can do a “Save As” in paint and amend the box underneath the picture name accordingly). But what’s the difference?

GIFS (*.gif): are the only format to save transparencies in. If you want any part of your picture to be transparent, choose this file type.

JPEGS (*.jpg): won’t hold transparencies, they’ll give the transparent bit a white back ground, but they are better quality than GIFS, so if your pic doesn’t need transparency save it in this format.

Now if you want a pic under your name, then that is called an avatar. I'll find a post about avatars to help you. To add an avatar under your name, you will need to go into your profile to add one.
