How Do You Like My Card?

Let me know what you guys think of my business cards. I designed them online and ordered them through the same website. They are expensive but I wanted something that would catch someone's eye and that they would remember.

Try this. They look better in person than the picture but you get the idea.

Nice card, I actually used the same design on one of my earlier business cards.

I'll tell you what I learned when I used it: People thought it was too much. It is almost to catchy that people think it's cliche and not to be taken seriously.

Also, when reproducing it, it got expensive because of all the color, there are many different colors to that card.

With the colors, it tends to hide your name and vital info. rather that make it stand out. Business cards are meant to convey your information, not be a work of art.

And one more thing I learned: That design is hard to put onto a t-shirt, a truck, etc.... There isn't a clear logo to that card design, and I think to make yourself stand out among all the other companies, you need your own mark, a logo. Establishing a logo for your company is a great way for people to always recognize you and your quality work. When you see a crew working at a residence with just sleeveless shirts with no logo, how do know who is working there? A logo should be your company, people relate to it and will think of it when they need your services.

Sorry to ramble, but just wanted to let you know what my experiences were when i had that card.

Thanks for the input. Its not my logo, just what I have on my cards. Everyone who has seen them, comments on how nice they are and how they would remember my business. I posted some in our local Post Office on the bulletin board with a few other plain lawn care cards and within a week, 5 of mine were gone and the others were still there. I got calls from them. You're right about the cost though. It was $69 for 250 of them but I gained income of over $1200 per month and didn't start my business until the middle of June with no other advertising. I'd say they are working pretty good for me.

Hi Mack,

I think they look nice and colorful. They convey to the viewer, the industry you are in and the services you provide.
