I just took the general standards today with out the DVD and passed. What a relief. Now I'm on to the Turf and Ornamental. I'm only doing one at a time so I can focus and hopefully retain a lot of this stuff. I'll be checking out that DVD for the next test though. I appreciate the heads up.

FIFRA allows for states, and states allow for counties to restrict pesticides beyond the EPA guidleines.... and Merit is RUP on Long Island. Nassau and Suffolk counties. Perhaps I did not make that clear earlier? Then my bad... yes Merit is not RUP as per the EPA.

I am new to this site ,you have great information. needing info on the pesticides and class 5 testing in Arkansas, I have the materials, just wanted pointers on the test. thanks!

My apologies. I didn't realize NY was part of Canada.

Seriously, if you folks have allowed your locals to ban a pesticide such as Merit, then you might as well give up the rest. When the Emerald Ash Borer comes to NY (and it will), you will be praying for Merit.

You have some difficulty with comprehension? It's RUP, not prohibited. Do you understand the difference? It showed up in the aquifer system 3 1/2 years after it was introduced. A combination of over use, over application, a high desnity of surburban lawns and a sandy loam soil that leaches quickly. I'm glad the home owners can't get it anymore. I wish more stuff was RUP.

I already did that and I didn't see anything that said I needed exp but was just double checking , But I shoulda known that I would get a reply from a smart a$$ thanks anyway.
