If I am not mistaken, orginally the updates costs $150 a year...just for the updates and no telephone support. I very seldom call when I have a problem. I usually use the email tech support. I just see it hard to jusify $300 update for a program I only paid $750.

just think if microsoft charged for every windows update or tech help. I would ditch that program what a rip off

I'm using Complete Scheduler for scheduling & keeping work records and QuickBooks Pro for billing. Complete scheduler schedules my work and keeps records of who worked on the job and what material I used. It's barebones stuff. It's an inexpensive one time cost with free updates. I think they also have a job estimating program, which I haven't used. For info see

I am not happy with the situation either. I have given Lawn Monkey a couple of thousand dollars over the last couple of years. I am just trying to find out when it is going to stop. I never use the tech support. This past spring I even paid $300.00 (I think) for the invoice e-mailer thing. Partly my fault I have not figured out how to use it yet. A waste so far. However I might get on that before the season gets rolling. I have not noticed any of the updates helping me within that last year.

Does anybody use this software for informational purposes?

That is one of the reason I stood away from them, all they can tink is $$, the program is ok, but for that price is a little steep for me.

You can try gopher, besides having a better deal is so easy to use, and customers support is free and outstanding.

After taking three months evaluating software we went with Gopher. Easier to use. Much more receptive tech support.

Go with Gopher. Less money upfront and will do just about everything LM will do.

I am totally with eveyone who is pissed off. There is no justification in the Keep me ripped off plan. It's just a cash grab. If that is the only way to make money in their business then theyare in the wrong business. Greensummer, I agree lm2002 works ok and that's all I use. I won't pay them for nothing. I don't think our customers should pay us for nothing. Email tech support was listed as free and unlimited. This was a major selling point for me when I purchased LM. I feel totally ripped off. Probably going to find a new program. Any suggestions of companies that have a track record of not trying to soak you after the purchase?

is their green industry software that i can purchase at like office depot or office max (or something I can personalize myself, like a small biz program)??any suggestions??? I really do not like purchasing stuff on internet itself!!
