I use those every year (rented)

I find that you have to be carefull of condition. If the area worn, they are a PITA to use. They came with 3.5 Briggs which are garbage. The rental shops put 5.5. hondas on as replacements and then they are great.

I would say buy new or rent. Don't make someone elses problems your own.

Those machines new work fantastic
