Comments on my logo please

I had a friend that is a graphic art major design this for me. I want to look very professional and im not to sure this is going to do the trick. I would appreciate some comments please.

nope, wont cut it. You can find some very decent logo designers for under 100.00

Dont have any names of those co's but I know some people here will. We had ours done from logodesign.com. Great job but very expensive.

Yeah, I agree with you guys... Isn't professional looking at all. Have someone design a logo for you and see how that works...

i dont want to offend my friend if i dont use it or ask her to change it. do you think i can modify it some more to make it work? Any other ideas of what i can do with this name?

I don' like it as well. If your friend is a Graphic Artist he should understand w/out taking offense. It's part of his job. Not every logo he designs will be a winner.

I dont like it much either. The stick man implies to me a kid running a 21 around the neighborhood. Remember, we're giving you our gut reaction to seeing it for the first time.

If you go to a print shop they usually have many sample biz cards on their walls for you to look at.

Consider making the card look "bigger" than your busines actually is. In bigger I mean more professional and not like "Joes Mow and Go" if you get my drift.
Post back when you have a new design....you'll get allot of good opinions here on logos and cards

But if I were you, I would get a local design company to develop a Logo/Branding concept. It is really inexpensive.

This is going to be how your customers see and make there judgments about you on whether or not to hire your services before they see your work.

Also you would do good to try looking at an on line design service like designoutpost.com or gophergraphics.com both are great!

Your Logo is your company image,.. this may not be something you want to have "a friend" do. A little money spent on a professional service would benefit your profit in the long run. That is just my opinion.

good advice above ,,,and to add, whatever come up with in your design, it will be wha you're stuck with for years to come...you dont want to be changing your logo/name or "branding, a couple years down the road....have a professional do it for you...in the long run you'll be glad you did it this way

thanks for the input guys. im going to keep the outline font in the word cut, but i guess its back to the drawing bord. I agree it does imply a 16 year old kid with a 21 in push mower. i like your logo sawyer. it looks very nice.

Try www.gophergraphics.com. They will design a logo for you for $75-$100. They will post logos and you can tell them what to do and if you like it or not. They keep posting untill you find something you like. I did it
