Just one question reguarding straw/hay, how much does a bail cover about?? I've used a straw blower once at school but I dont remember if we calculated the area that a bale covers.
Im lookin at buyin some this year, marsh hay that is, for some of my bigger lawn installations.
Matt

I got 30 in the back of my F-150 this morning. I do have an 8' bed. Could have squeezed a few more in. I covered them with burlap and wrapped it all together. Can stack them higher that way. Only takes a couple minutes and keeps some of the straw from blowing away also.

Get your supplier to deliver it for you, ours does. Add in the cost of delivery if they charge you, and pass it on to the client. This way you can maximize your time on site by actually working the straw instead of taking your time and your helper's time away to load, tie ,deliver, and unload the straw for maybe two or three trips. Let them bring it to you, and stay on site and stay profitable. JMHO...

Even if you don't pass the delivery charge on, isn't it still worth 50 bucks or so to stay on site, and not pay your guys for errand running, truck use, and gas, etc...???

hey guys I got exactly 50 bails in the trailer. That came right to the top of the two foot railing. I could get 100 if I were to stack two layers above the rails.

I have a 6 by 12 also and it has wooden slides appr 27" tall and I can get 50 bales on at a time-60 if I use a wind tarp and straps. My experience with coverage is appr 70sq ft per bale
