Wow, the post in here are pretty old. Are all of you still here?
who's up for coming up with a plan to have a meeting place to meet one another. We don't have to be enemies. Who knows what could come out of this. FRIENDSHIPS?
So what do you all think? Lets talk it over.

Come on guys, I'm serious. Just think of the possibilities this could bring.
Example 1) say a few of you come to be really good friends and one day, God forbid, you fall and break your leg. Lets say you don't have any one to help you, but Now, you could call on your local lawn friends that I'm sure would chip in and help you get your jobs complete.

Example 2) We could warn each other of bad customers to stay away from.

Example 3) If we were really good friends, and you really wanted to get a certain contract, we could just not go after that one.

Example 4) Say your mower breaks down right at the worst time, and one of us could loan you one or just help you out.

I could go on and on, so do you see what I'm talking about?
I know your first thought is that your saying, man.....thats our competition....
But it does'nt have to be like that.
Why heck, just think, if a lot of us came together and got on the same page with our pricing, we could put a damper on the customers that want to kick the tires so to speak.
Heres a thought, why we could fix pricing like the concrete people do.LOL just kidding of course.
Anyway, just think about it.

Jay you may want to consider joining the Midwest Regional Turf Foundation, the Indiana Professional Lawn and Landscape Association, the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association and the Indianapolis Landscape Association. You'll meet lots of great people in all of these organizations with every skill level and have more meetings to attend than you'll have time to go to.

I am a member of 3, of the 4 mentioned groups. Having said that, they are all great organizations developing professionalism, knowledge/education, political agenda, communication between members and addressing local issues as they
pertain to members. The January show at the Convention Center is a combined effort of 2 of the groups. I have a very strong opinion as to which is the best but, I'm sure you will want to review all before deciding which best fits into developing your personal goals.

Hello. i'm new to the business and own Mowtivations Lawn Care & Snow Removal L.L.C. i'm hoping i can eventually make enough money to operate full time. I enjoy lawn work and am looking forward to a prosperous future...hopefully. i'm on the far east side of indianapolis, close to cumberland.

Thanks Jay pre'shate it. I've been passing out flyers for leaf removal service and have gotten a few proposals for snow removal out there but have NO clients yet lol i'm not giving up though. i'm in this for the long haul. But damn, it does get frustrating. hopefully things'll start looking up b4 too long.
