I got my push edger out last year, had been sitting for about 3 years. It has a tecumseh engine on it and yes it is a craftsman, pumped the carb full of 3 year old gas and a squirt of ether to help it start. Well on the 2nd pull it started and i figured soon as the ether burned off it would die. It spit and sputtered a little bit and after turning the set screw on the bottum of the bowl ran like a champ. I couldnt hardly believe it and the gas did have sea foam in it , a stabil aid of sorts

I've 3 Honda Hydro. lawn mowers which are all over 10 years old and all start on the first pull every spring. They are truly the best small engine on the market hands down. Yes, they are expensive but worth every penny - you get what you pay for.
