Think I would have better luck checking the spark Hoss, if it was a rich situation (as in a prob. with not enough) but seems like it's got to be getting good fire, to heat this plug so white (so quick)
Wonder why it didn't hurt the other cylinder, with the carb. so loose. Same environment for each. (just assuming that the plug firing with no gas in the cylinder, would be what is making it so discolored....guessing here and there.....no REAL mech. by any means)

Also remove and check the pushrods... look for a bent one... doesnt take much to screw a 2 cylinder engine up. try switching the push rods from one cyl to the other and see if the problem switches sides.

Well, the advise about pressureizing the cylinder deff.did the trick.
Could deff. hear air bleeding past the intake valve. Took the head off, and can see a place around where it seats (over 1/2" long) that is discolored. The weird part is that, to me, it looks like it's out-of-round, well, just slightly egg-shaped (where the discoloration is) but might just be the color throwing me off. Hate to put a new valve in, and the head be bad, too.
With the way the sparkplug(s) didn't seem to tighten "exactly" right, I will prob. order a new head while I'm at it.
(might can seat a new valve in, and be ok, but hate to take a chance)
