mulching price
Hey fella's: I'd be curious to know if you guys would share with the forum what you charge per yard for installing mulch? Also would be curious what you guys are paying per yard for your mulch. We're paying $12.50 a yard for damn good stuff.

Good lord dmontgomery, do you buy it by the 3 cu ft bag or something???
Although that is my price for homes around here because it's so much easy to tote around a bunch of bags and dump them wherever needed... But how do you buy your mulch?

I was kind of wondering where we were fitting in with the other guys on this forum. We're paying $12.50 a yard - we charge $18.00 a yard for the mulch - and $6.00 a yard delivery charge to the site. Then we get $50.00 per yeard for installing - that is - with minimum prep work required. Extra prep requires extra time = more money. We offer 3 types of mulch - 2 of which are dyed. So far we have jobs running our of our ying yang.

This was an interesting day. Took me about 2 hours to lay all this mulch down. Oh well, I always overbid on purpose so I get left over stuff for my house. I ended up with like 10 bags extra outta 60 bags.

$55.00 per yard costs me 18.23 per as long as it not a long haul with a wheel barrel.
