How to price this mulch jobs

I am doing a mulching job for one of my customers. She just wants a top layer of mulch added on to cover up her current weeds. I went to the mulch place, and the guy told me it would be $20 + tax to fill up my 4x8 trailer with mulch. I called the lady and gave her an estimate of cost of mulch plus our labor for $200. I'm sure a 4X8 trailer of this mulch will get it all. Now, what I'm really getting at is, how do I price labor for these jobs?

you can do a search on this and find more....but

figure out your total square footage to cover then multiply by .08 for 1" deep, .16 for 2" deep and, .25" for 3" deep mulch; then divide by 27.......that gives you the number of cubic yards you need.

I charge $66 per yard to spread including materials, plus a $45 delivery fee.

You probably need to actually weed out the beds before mulching.

You need to address two main issues before installing the new mulch:

1.) Rid the beds of weeds by either uprooting them or spraying them (assuming your licensed and insured to do so)
2.) Edge the beds to obtain the best look and division from the surroundung grass or landscape...unless there were already done recently
