dry compost?

Does anyone know if the 'drying' process used for bagged compost kills the beneficial microorganisms?
I'm having trouble finding a cheap, reliable source of compost and was thinking of using the dry stuff.
Thanks in advance,

dry compost

Try www.nutrientsplus.com they have a composted poultry manure no heat involved other than compost process. you can take a virtual tour of compost facility. neat stuff. works wonderfully 4-3-2 and lots of calcium.
