When looking to address dandelions, the analysis of the fertilizer is really not of concern. They both contain NPK, but what matters is the herbicide ingredient.

If the product is called weed and feed, it should address your problem.

As far as the NPK goes, what you should buy depends on your turf type and what nutrients are needed at that time. That is a question better answered by local folks.

Weed n Feed, what a great product for someone who wants a magic pill to do it all. Just like a weight loss pill, makes you loose weight and you can eat anything(as much as) you want, it even makes you prettier and takes away those wrinkles while you sit on your lazy ass.

If you bought your fert at somewhere else other than The Home Depot or Lowes then they could explain the "numbers" to you. You should invest in taking some classes or at least get licensed. A broadleaf herbicide would work much better than a weed n feed.

If you are not licensed to apply pesticide, you will find yourself on the receiving end of some uncomfortable scrutiny if you apply them for your customers anyway.

I highly recommend that if you want to offer those services to your customers that you become licensed.

Or, subcontract that work to a company that treats lawns but does not mow, in your area. I noticed that you work in Grosse Point and St. Clair Shores. So do I, and I don't mow.

Hint, Hint
