Is this a good deal?

I probably going to buy a used mower tomorrow and just wanted some feedback before doing so. Its a 1995 Snapper walk behind, 48" fixed deck, 14hp Kawasaki, belt drive-not hydro. From what the salesman said it was used commercially the first two years, then bought by a homeowner until now. I can't tell how many hours are on it but it looks in decent shape, started up pretty easy and operates fine. Asking price as is: $600.00. So what do you think? Go for it or look elsewhere? I'm new to this game and am looking to start off as inexpensive as possible.

thanks much.

LW

600 doesnt sound bad. you can probably talk him down to 450 if you try
