Stihl FC 44 Edger

I've got a still stick edger (FC 44) with no spark. Any ideas or common ignition problems with this edger?

Try disconnecting the wires to the kill switch. I have found Stihl to have some of the most complicated switches I have ever seen. Half the time a Stihl will not fire it is the switch.

I'll check that out. Sounds like a good place to start. Stihl should remember that complication can easily lead to devastation.
