What to estimate for weed removel? (pictures)

So this customer wants her weeds out of the beds and a couple of rocks put in. Here are the pictures.

Remeber, this section has really bad mosquitoes!

These beds have to be cleaned out. They are pretty clean as is though.

So... how much do you think?

Also, they all have to be hand picked. She doesn't want any chemicals used.

Please let me know. Thanks.

Yup... no chemicals.

She said that it is OK of there are still some small weeds in there. She said if there is any question if it is a weed or not, just leave it so she isn't too picky.

Wow, handweeding will take awhile. I would charge your hourly rate that you charge, that way you will not get burned on the amount of time that it takes you to do the job. It always takes longer than you think it will.

If your customer balks at an hourly rate, estimate how long it will take you times your hourly rate, then inflate that by at least 50%. Like others have said, they always take longer than you think they will.

How many hours do you guys think?

I'm estimating 5 hours but this is the first job I have ever done weed pulling.

Whats a good rate to charge hourly for weed pulling? I was thinking $30-$40?

Yeah..I was thinking $250. It's all labor, so it's all profit. I would water the beds first so the roots will come up out of the soil. The major drawback is that once completed you won't be able to stand erect for a week.
