Trailer Price?

I went to look at trailers the other day and saw one i liked. But i think i am just going to stay with my little 4X8 until i get a little bigger truck and can afford a trailer. But anyway i went there and this lady tried to help me and she was rude and wasn't very willing to help me. Well excuse me lady if i am only 16. But i saw a Big Tex trailer Model 30SA for 1450! it is a 5X10 with a gate and i read u guys picking up 5X10's for $750-$1000. Doesn't this price seem way to high for a new trailer?

The cheap models they are speaking of are probably from Home Cheapo or Slowes. Big Tex is very well built and heavy duty trailer very well worth the cost. Since you are just starting out I would buy a lower priced one.

89ranger,
I have the Bix Tex 35AA, 6 1/2' wide by 10' long, 4' mesh ramp/gate. It has the 14 gauge steel sides that come up about 16 inches around front & sides and I paid $1100 for it. I like the sides so I can lay rakes and stuff on the floor and they won't slide out.

I do know the dealer said his next shipment of trailers were going up in price due to the increase in steel prices. I like the trailer a lot, very heavy duty. Only wish I had gotten the 12' or longer.

I bought a US Cargo 6.5x12', 2-3 months ago, at the very first hint of steel prices going up. Paid 1007.00 out the door. Which I thought was high.
