Do most towns require that you have a business permit to operate in their town? I will be operating in three small towns. And how much does it cost you guys if you are required to have it. Happy Holidays! Cowboy |

Here in IL, they said that I didn't even have to register my business name... but I did anyway, just to be legit ($60). Your best bet would be to call your county clerks office and ask them.

In MA you have to register your business name with the town and that protects you from any one else using it within the county. If you have a corporation, you are protected from any one else using it in the whole state.

Check with your local gov't.
Laws vary from state to state, and probably from one county to the next.
