Hustler Super Z vs. Super Mini Z

Haven't had a chance to demo either yet but what are the pros and cons of the mini super vs the super. I'm like the looks of the mini due to my limited trailer space with a 12' trailer and a walkbehind already.

Anybody with experience?

Didn't demo the Super mini, only the Super Z and loved it. Bought a Deere 777 mainly because of the dealer (who is awesome) and the Deere cut slightly better than the Hustler at my demo's.

If I remember correctly, the Super Mini is differen primarily in deck size availability (you can get a 60" on the Super Z, 44" and 52" on the super mini) and horsepower options (only up to 24hp on the Super mini I think).

The Hustler is a great line and I don't think you would go wrong regardless which one you buy.

Look at the hydrostat units. The combo pump/motor IZT hydrostats are the same system that you will find on the $2499 homeowner Cub Cadet zero turn.

Will you clarify your statement?

combo pump/motor...like the jd?

You are a little vague with your response....

Sam-Ohio is VERY WRONG !
The Mini Z and Super Mini Z use pumps and wheel motors.
The Mini Z uses the industry standard BDP-10, 10cc displacement pumps and White CE-12 wheel motors.
The Super Mini Z uses a even better / larger pumps, a BDP-16, 16 cc displacement pumps and White CE-12 wheel motors.
You can get the Mini and Super Mini in 44" and 52" cut.
The full size Z and Super Z you can get in 52", 60" and 72", the difference in the full size 52" compared to the Mini 52" deck is that you will have little to no trim capability on the full size 52" unit.
You can go all the way up to 27hp on the full size Super Z 52" cut, that unit is a mean cutting machine!
I hope this helps clarify things for you, and I am sorry that Sam-Ohio is giving you bad info, he is not a Hustler dealer, he sells many other brands but not Hustler.

Normally I would not post like this in the open forum because matters like this should be handled behind the scenes. But, because this has gone on continually I feel it is necessary to do this.....

Sam-Ohio and all other dealers on the site - PAY ATTENTION

YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO POST ON THIS WEB SITE IN REGARD TO MATTERS OF EQUIPMENT THAT YOU SELL OR DO NOT SELL. YOUR RESPONSES AND ADVICE WILL ALWAYS BE SKEWED AND HAVE A TOUCH OF BIAS, ESPECIALLY WHEN HIDDEN PROPERLY. IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE MEMBERS SEEKING INFORMATION AND ADVICE.

With this being said, I hope it is clear now. Sam-Ohio has no right or reason to comment on something regarding Hustler.

Sam-Ohio has been extremely helpful and has consistantly offered and provided good, accurate information on many topics and pieces of equipment in the past...I, for one hope he will continue to do so, within forum rules obviously.

I truly believe he was confused on this issue and made an honest mistake.

Steve
