Lawn Aerators

Yesterday, I rented a Bluebird aerator to do a half acre lawn. After I finished, I felt like I just went four rounds with the guy who whupped Mike Tyson. Are there any aerators that are easier to use? I want to buy one but don't want to make a bad choice. Help. Thanks.

Try out a plugr. Ive got the PL 800 and like it. If you do a search you will find plenty of info.

we use a gotor rator....its the thing attatched to the front of the dixie chopper in this pic.....if you are going to be doing any more large scale areation like that half acre then i would definatly sugest it..

Twin Plugr aerators.

I like my Plugr PL800. It is great to turn and pulls great plugs. They provide great customer service. It is not the best for going up hills. If you have a lot of hills to do than DEMO.

Hoss. How old are those? I have never seen those covers.

One is a 2000 and the other is 2001 or 2 I forgot. They changed the covers and painted the frames black is the only main difference.

I bought a used Blubird last year for $500. It does give you quite a workout. How much does a new Plugr cost. Can you run one 7 or 8 hrs without feeling beat at the end of the day?

I just picked mine up this morning...the PL800 with the Honda engine. Before tax, $2995.25

Did a test run in the backyard.....works great and pulled A LOT of plugs...deep also. The toughest workout seems to be just transporting the unit.
