Green Industry Expo, November 3-6, Charlotte, NC

It's that time of the year again. Many of you attended the Expo in Louisville not too long ago. Now it is time for the Green Industry Expo sponsored by the different member associations in the industry.

The GIE is November 3-6 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC. Their web site is www.gieonline.com.

Here is some information from their web site:

The Green Industry Expo (GIE) combines a national trade show and outdoor Product Field Day into the green industry’s premier buying, selling and learning event for every aspect of design, build and maintenance of outdoor and indoor green space, turf and plant care.

Plan to attend GIE and network with more than 360 national brand manufactures of products designed for professional and contractor use. Schedule your test-drives and hands-on comparisons for the Product Field Day where approximately 100 manufacturers will make their products available for field testing.

Indoor Exhibits:
The indoor exhibits are open on Friday and Saturday to accommodate your schedule and reduce time away from your business. Bring your spring budgets and negotiate your best deals for the upcoming season.

Product Field Day:
The Product Field Day is held on Thursday - a day prior to the opening of the indoor exhibits - and does not conflict with indoor exhibit hours. Click on the Product Field Day section for additional details.

Educational Opportunities:
Held in conjunction with the trade show are three Green Industry Conferences (GIC) organized by GIE’s sponsors – the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA), the Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA) and the Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS). So that you won't miss a thing, the conferences and trade show hours are scheduled not to confilct with each other.

Registration for the Green Industry Conference (GIC) events includes entrance to the indoor exhibits and the Product Field Day. To select the educational conference that best suits your needs, visit the “Conference Info” section of their website; then link to the association offering your selected program to register.

Location:
The indoor exhibits and educational conferences will be held at the Charlotte Convention Center at 501 South College Street, Charlotte, North Carolina. For a map of downtown Charlotte, print out the Housing Form from the section titled “Travel Information” of their website.

Registration:
Register FREE before October 8 to attend the indoor exhibits and Product Field Day. For details, check out the “Register Now” section. To register for educational conferences, visit the “Conference Info” section.

Overnight Accommodations:
Visit the “Travel Information” section to find several ways to register with convention hotels offering discount pricing for GIE convention delegates. A map of hotels and their proximity to the convention center is included on the housing form.
